Résident à Singapour, Mattamation est un dj australien qui commence à collectionner des disques début 2000, fortement influencé par les années 80, le turnablism et le breakdance. Il joue alors de l’electro, de l’electrofunk, de la Miami bass dans des clubs et évènements sur la côte est australienne, notamment aux côtés d’artistes internationaux comme DJ Godfather, Egyptian Lover, Arabian Prince, I-F, et TLR pour en nommer quelques uns…. En parallèle Il a sa propre émission durant 4 ans sur Radio Noosa, ses mixes furent diffusés sur de nombreuses radios à travers le monde: WAD, CBS & Intergalactic FM, WVUM, Global Funk Radio. En 2002 il découvre le label français Invasion Planète d’Alexandre Gand. Attiré par leur vision froide, minimaliste et romantique de la musique électronique, son mixe exclusif “Infection Part II*” pour Les Yeux Orange est une sélection de morceaux sortis sur Invasion Planete et ses sous-labels N.E.S.S. Obscur, Individus Analogues, et Citizens Paralleles.
Mattamation is an australian dj now established in Singapore who started collecting records early 2000 highly influenced by 80’s music, turntablism and breakdancing culture. He began djing at various clubs and outdoor events along the east coast of Australia playing current electro, 80’s electrofunk, miami bass and detroit electro alongside DJ Godfaher, Egyptian Lover, Arabian Prince, I-F, TLR just to name a few… He also ran his own radio show on Radio Noosa for 4 years and had his mixes broadcasted on various radio stations around the world including WAD, CBS & Intergalactic FM, WVUM, Global Funk Radio. In 2002 Matt discovered the Invasion Planète french label founded by Alexandre Gand. Attracted to their cold, minimal, and romantic vision of electronic music, his exclusive mix “Infection Part II*” for the blog is a selection of tracks released on Invasion Planete and its sub-labels N.E.S.S. Obscur, Individus Analogues, and Citizens Paralleles.
