Mick Wills débuta sa carrière de dj dans le sud de l’Allemagne au milieu des années 80. Un beau soir de 1994 il eut la chance de mixer avec Dj Hell qui fut immédiatement séduit par sa virtuosité. Dès lors Mick commença à jouer dans de plus grands clubs et commença à organiser des soirées à Stuttgart avec Isabella Venis. Ils invitèrent des artistes renommés tels que Keith Tucker, Hell, Anthony Shakir, Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Legowelt, Terence Fixmer, Rude 66, John Selway, I-f ou Orgue Electronique. En 2001 il signe son premier maxi sur Gigolo, le label de Dj Hell et sa carrière décolle à l’international avec des bookings qui affluent de toute l’europe. En dehors des différents disques sur Gigolo, il a sorti de nombreux morceaux ou remixes sur Minimal Rome, Phil E, Nation, Frigio, Psycho Thrill ou sur Space Factory le label de David Carretta. Collectionneur obsessionnel de vinyl , Mick est toujours épatant de diversité dans ses sets, mélangeant le meilleur de 30 ans de dance music en passant allégrement des dernières tueries actuelles aux classiques chicago, detroit, italo, hi-nrg, wave, acid ou electro. Récemment il a joué dans des plateaux de qualité au coté de David Vunk , Elec pt 1, Nancy Fortune, Traxx, Lord of the isles, Trevor Jackson, Aroy Dee, DJ Deep, Hunee ou encore JTC. Ce mix marathon de 3 heures est l’enregistrement de son set à la soirée Bleep43 au Waiting Room de Londres en février 2013!
Mick Wills started his dj career in mid-80’s in south of Germany. In 1994, one night he had the chance to spin with DJ Hell, who’s immediately impressed by his dj skills. Since then , Mick played in bigger places & started organizing parties in and around Stuttgart with Isabella Venis. They invited renowned artists like Keith Tucker, Hell, Anthony Shakir, Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Legowelt, Terence Fixmer, Rude 66, John Selway, I-f or Orgue Electronique. He signed for DJ Hell’s gigolo label in 2001 his first Atomic ep and his dj career took off internationally with bookings all over europe. Apart from various records on Gigolo, he released many tracks and remixes on Minimal Rome, Phil E, Nation, Frigio, Psycho Thrill or David Carretta‘s Space Factory‘s label. Being an avid vinyl collector, Mick’s sets are always a treat, mixing the best of over 30 years of dance music, switching between the cutting edge of today’s sounds and vintage chicago, detroit, italo, hi-nrg, wave, acid or electro. Recently you could see him on quality parties alongside David Vunk, Elec pt 1, Nancy Fortune, Traxx, Lord of the isles, Trevor Jackson, Aroy Dee, DJ Deep, Hunee or JTC.
