Gabor Molnar aka Gabbo nait à Magdebourg en ex-RDA. Il déménage définitivement à Berlin en 2008 et travaille alors comme chef de produit dans une entreprise de haute technologie. Obsédé depuis tout jeune par la musique des années 80, il passe le plus clair de son temps collé devant son poste de radio dans le but de découvrir toujours plus de sons. Il commence à collectionner des disques à la fin des années 90 et prend une nouvelle claque radiophonique quand I-F lance The Cybernetic Broadcasting System maintenant Intergalactic FM. Dès 2006 il y diffuse sa propre émisson “Rundfunkmuziek”, dénichant inlassablement les productions synth-pop, cold & minimal wave les plus rares et les plus improbables. Il joue régulièrement à Berlin dans les soirées underground au côté de Makina Girgir, Datafreq, Charles Kent de Kommando 6, du défunt label Das Drehmoment, qui était à n’en pas douter le meilleur disquaire berlinois à l’époque.
Gabor Molnar aka Gabbo was born in Magdeburg when it was still a part of The R.D.A. He moved definitely to Berlin in 2008 to work as product manager for a tech company. Obsessed with 80’s music since he was a little kid, he used to spend his time in front of the radio just listening to discover more & more. He started collecting records & djing in late 90’s and catched the radio bug again when I-F, Viewlexx head honcho, started the CBS, the Cybernetic Brodcasting System, an online radio & forum devoted to the freaks music. Since 2006 he has been running his own show “Rundfunkmuziek” on Intergalactic FM, focusing especially on rare synth-pop, cold & minimal wave digging deeper & deeper in the genre. In Berlin you could hear him regularly play in underground parties alongside Makina Girgir, Datafreq, Charles Kent from Kommando 6 with the guys of the now defunct label Das Drehmoment which was probably the best berliner physical vinylshop!
