Ali Renault est un producteur, DJ et label manager originaire de Chester, petite ville de l’ouest du Royaume-unisituée au sud de Liverpool, où il fait ses armes à la fin des années 90 comme DJ au légendaire club “Le Bateau”, étant passé à la musique électronique après avoir baigné dans l’univers metal. Rapidement exilé à Londres, il continue dans cette veine avec la création de deux labels, Human Shield en 2003 et Cyber Dance Records co-fondé avec Casionova and Spruxxx en 2005. En plus de sorties sur ces labels, il est présent-seul ou avec Sebastian Muravchik avec qui il forme le groupe Heartbreak – sur Zone, Lex, Dissident, Moustache Records et plus récemment sur Vivod, son propre label lancé en 2013, où l’illustration de chaque vinyl est tamponnée et numérotée à la main. Le son de ce label représente parfaitement l’univers d’Ali Renault, mêlant des influences aussi diverses que recommandables allant de l’italo-disco à la new beat en passant par la techno 80’s américaine. Ali Renault is a producer, DJ and label manager from Chester, near Liverpool (UK), where he starts spinning records at the end of the 90’s in the legendary club “Le Bateau” after having switched from metal to electronic music. Soon moving to London, he creates two music labels : Human Shield in 2003 and Cyber Dance Records co-founded with Casionova and Spruxxx in 2005. Apart from his owns, he released his music, alone or as Heartbreak alongside Sebastian Muravchik, on labels such as Zone, Lex Dissident, Moustache Records or more recently Vivod, the label he just founded in 2013. Every release on Vivod is hand-printed with individual sticker, and showcases the sound that Ali has been building, a mix of highly recommandable influences such as italo-disco, new beat or 80’s american techno. And now it’s time for the music with his latest mix, exclusively done for LYO!
